Dariusz Wojdyga
Metall, Smykker
Dariusz Wojdyga is an interdisciplinary artist whose primary focus lies in art jewellery, seamlessly merging craft, performance, eco-activism, sustainability, and collectivism into a cohesive creative practice. Working at the intersection of conceptual ideas and material-based processes, he uses wearable forms and collaborative projects to explore the role of art as a vehicle for activism and social engagement. His interests centre on the position of jewellery art—and art in general—within the context of new technologies, especially in relation to tradition and contemporary understandings of handmade value. He actively seeks pathways toward sustainable artistic practice in a world where technological advancements often diminish the role of handcraft, overconsume energy, exploit natural resources, and negatively impact the environment. Originally from Poland, he has lived and worked in Oslo since 2005. He holds a Master’s degree in Medium- and Materialbased Art, specialising in metal and jewellery, from the Oslo National Academy of the Arts.
