Quin Scholten
Annet, Keramikk / Leire, Kunst i offentlig rom
Rejecting to see things, including his work as static objects rather as dynamic and curious beings - Quin Scholten (b. 1998, The Netherlands) together with either the clay or the pencil is creating shapes that question the relationship between those beings and us humans. With product design as an educational foundation, he has a critical attitude towards mass production and consumption culture where the objectification of things, landscapes, humans and other life forms is a dominant force. He is striving for encounters that carry more care, curiosity, and consideration with the things that surrounds us. Quin Scholten has his studio based in Romsås, Oslo. He has accomplished his Master degree from 'Oslo National Academy of The Arts' in 2025. The creatures he created have been presented in Places like ‘Ram galleri’, ‘Velferden Scene for Samtidskunst’ and ‘Galleri Seildukken’. For the future; his interest lies in the creation of new creatures for the public space, publishing publications for his drawings, teaching art, & 'creating for'/'participating in' exhibitions both nationally and internationally.
